Thankfulness At All Times

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, our attention focuses on the traditional thoughts of thanksgiving. We're thankful for a bounty of good food, family and good friends. While this is good, let us remember, thankfulness should not be limited nor reserved for a single day of the year. Scripture reminds us that we should be thankful for all things at all times.

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

"For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." (1 Timothy 4:4-5)

"But in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God" (Phil. 4:6).

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." (Psalm 100:4)

"I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High." (Psalm 7:17)

"Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever." (Psalm 1107:)
