He Lives

As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, many people may feel anxious and hopeless because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, their life circumstances and the condition of our world. But as Christians, we are not to despair. Scripture reminds us that Jesus died for our sins, was resurrected and now lives (Matt. 28:6). Through God's great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade, kept in heaven for you (1Peter 1:3-4). This hope we have in our risen Savior Jesus is emphasized in song:

"Because He Lives"

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus.

He came to love, heal and forgive.

He lived and died to buy my pardon.

An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.

Because He lives, all fear is gone.

Because I know He holds the future.

And life is worth the living, just because He lives.
