Happy Birthday America! Also, Happy Anniversary to the My Divine Living Blog and MDL Podcast! This month My Divine Living Blog celebrates 9 years and our MDL Podcast celebrates its 2nd Anniversary! As always, we give all glory and praises to God for another amazing year and opportunity for glorifying Him and maturing His people!
MDL boldly kicks off this new season as a participant in the CBS Mornings News “It’s Never Too Late” contest. This contest was an awesome opportunity for us to highlight our MDL journey as podcasters as well as our amazing milestone! Be sure to click on the link below to view MDL’s CBS audition video!
As we celebrate America’s 249th birthday, our Podcast has “A Word on Democracy!” Abraham Lincoln once said, “Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people!" We will discuss the keys to having a democracy, as well as a commentary on autocracy. We will offer quotes on democracy and what God’s word has to say about government!
Keeping all things in perspective, we do not make light of our nation’s democracy situation. However, rather than focusing on our “Earthly rights” which are temporary, God would prefer that we focus on our “Eternal spiritual rights” which are everlasting!
In closing, we are reminded that we are to pray and focus on God who is ultimately in control of all things including our democracy, our government! His word says, “The government shall be upon the Savior’s shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace,” Isaiah 9:6.
