It's Never Too Late
Have you ever dreamed about doing something or becoming something that seems impossible? If you ask any child what he or she wants to be when they grow up, they’ll likely have a list of idealistic dreams. While some of their dreams may be simply childish folly, some dreams become sought after goals. Still other dreams tend to fall by the wayside due to life circumstances, mistakes, lack of direction, fear or self-doubt.
For some adults, dreaming might seem rather far-fetched, too big or a waste of time. Many adults may feel that their time for achieving their dreams have come and gone. This may especially be the case for some retired or senior adults. However, in reality, as long as we’re alive with a reasonable portion of our minds, bodies and abilities, “it’s never too late!” Why not? Because scripture says, “With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible,” Matthew 19:26.
The truth is God has good plans for each of us (Jeremiah 29:11). He has given us all gifts and talents (Romans 12:6, 1 Corinthians 7:7)! Our gifts are like special treasures from God. He expects us to use our gifts to serve Him and others. But they are also a blessing to us.
In this month’s Podcast, we discuss “It’s Never too Late” to pursue your dreams! We are reminded of God’s power and sovereignty. We discuss some well-known individuals who pursued their dreams later in life and found success. In addition, we discuss biblical characters considered old, but God used them to accomplish His tasks. Whether returning to school, writing a book, starting a business, serving in ministry or volunteering in the community, it’s never too late. Nothing is too hard for God. He can redeem our time, opportunities and dreams. He can surpass the time you have left.
If one has a dream that he or she wishes to achieve, they are to pray, trust God and step out in faith! Remember, God’s not done with you yet! We are to use the time we have left to live with purpose and make the most of our lives.
