Rejoice
Each morning when I wake up, my first spoken words are usually “Thank You Lord!” Regardless of my grogginess, pain or attitude, I manage to show the Lord gratitude and praise for each new day. Our first words each day should always be to praise and thank the Lord. However, because of God’s goodness, we often take His grace and mercy for granted. But scripture says, “This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it,” Psalm 118:24.
As we celebrate Christmas, God gave us the greatest reason of all to rejoice! He tells us, you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, Luke 1:14. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace,” Isaiah 9:6. So let us rejoice for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Christmas and every day!
