November is the month we honor and recognize all our military and law enforcement men and women. MDL wanted to take the opportunity to show our appreciation and gratitude to those who sacrifice everything for our country.
The military is special to me and my family. We respect and honor all who serve, not only for their sacrifice, but for their bravery and selfless courage and commitment protecting our nation.
We all have family, friends and acquaintances who have served in the military who should be recognized and honored. I have several family members who have served including my father, J.T. Ramsire, Sr. (U.S. Army WW2), my father-in-law, Elvin McCurdy, Sr. (U.S. Army Korea), my brother-in-law, Winston Champion (U.S. Army Viet Nam), brother Larry Ramsire (U.S. Army), brother Marvin Ramsire (U.S. Army National Guard), brother J.T. Ramsire, Jr. (Law Enforcement). They all deserve honor.
I recently spoke with a retired military veteran, Sergeant First Class, Lewis C. Garrison. Sergeant Garrison shared with me about his life of service and dedication in the U. S. Army. Sergeant Garrison is a man of faith and a close family friend. He is a retired military veteran who served 22 years in the United States Army. During his time of duty, Sergeant Garrison received numerous military awards. He holds an Associate’s, Bachelors and 3 Masters Degrees. Currently, Sergeant Garrison is the President and CEO of his own company, Allegiance Residential Inspections of Texas (ARIO-Tex). He enjoys mentoring others, giving back and serving his community.
In this month’s Podcast, “Salute to Our Military,” Sergeant Garrison candidly answers questions and gives us an overview of his military life. A captivating storyteller, Sergeant Garrison tells of his childhood, growing up in England, coming to America and why he joined the military. He shares his experiences on everything from boot camp training, travel, education, and his many military awards to the benefits of serving in the military.
We owe Sergeant Garrison and all the brave men and women who serve our nation a debt of gratitude for our freedom. Remember to thank a veteran, our freedom depends on them. They truly are our heroes!
